65th Anv. of D-Day

This weekend marks the 65th Anv. of the D-Day Landing and the freeing of Europe from Nazi Germany.

For me it's a time to celebrate and talk with Veterans of D-Day, to give you some idea the size of the invasion we must first look at the allied landing force size.

United States,
73,000 Total broken down as follows 23,250 on Utah Beach 32,250 on Omaha Beach and 15,500 Airborne.

English/Canadian
61,715/21,400 Total Broken Down as follows 24,970 on Gold Beach 21,400 on Juno Beach 28,845 on Sword Beach and 7900 Airborne.

Also part of the Allied Landing Armys were troops from Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland.

The Combine Air force for the Allied was 11,950 Aircraft who flew close to 15,ooo sorties on June 6th.

Today in and around the greater Normandy Beach Heads are twenty-seven war cemeteries hold the remains of over 110,000 dead from both sides: 77,866 German, 9386 American, 17,769 British, 5002 Canadian and 650 Poles.

Memorial Day and what it Stands for.

Well it's that time of the year again Memorial Day is apond us and this means that we all will be getting a three day weekend which we will spend time with our family having a BBQ and in general fun.

While you are having fun may I remind you that we are remembering the Men and Women of our Arm Force who have paid the Supreme Sacrifice for this Holiday, I ask all of my fellow Americans to take time from their day and visit your local Cemetery and place one White Carnation on the first Soldiers grave you see ask your coworker to do the same thing.

Remember with out their Sacrifice we would live in the Land of the Brave and Free.

Gas Price What the Fuck

So yea Gas Price,

has anyone noticed since The Messiah has been elected that gas Price have been creeping up. today they were over $2.00 a gallon for low grade and close to $3.00 for high grade.

But hey that's alright The Messiah is in power along with his Demogod Cronies, so I must ask were is all the outrage of last years Memorial Day Weekend, seems that allot of you have forgot this. I mean most of the Liberals were screaming bloody murder over gas price and demanding that Mr. Bush do something were are these cry's now. Oh I know why The Messiah and the Demagods are in charge, so that makes it's all better (correct).

For once I would like to see the Demagods do something correct you know demand that The Messiah do something about the Gas Price's. hell crude oil closed today at $57.65 down from last years $77.50, plus The United States has 15% more crude oil reserves then last year at this time so once again I ask why have gas price gone up and why aren't the Demagods screaming bloody hell or any of the so-called Real Liberal Americans oh wait I know why and so do the rest of you. Maybe it's time for all of you who voted for The Messiah to take off those glasses and understand how much of a fucking joke he really is.

The Vibrator's live at The Ottobar May 9th 2009

Well it's been close to 30 years since the last time I say The Vibrator in concert, wow do I feel old.

This line was minus Knox who is resting do to a health problem replacing him is Nigel Bennett(Ex Member's) along with Eddie on drums and Pete on Bass. The guy's started out with one of the Vibrator's classics "London Girl" which was a surprise to me I was guessing it would be towards the middle of the set.

Some of the highlights for me was Nigel singing Members hit "Sounds of the Suburbs" also hearing "Whips and Fur" live was great, other classic Vibrator song that they did were Vibrator,4875,War Zone and X-File. The crowd was a young crowd who outside myself and maybe six other folks haven't been alive as long as the Vibrator's have been a band, but with that said when the band went into "Baby Baby" the crowd sang right along with them.

The Vibrators have a new album come out in June called garage Punk which all the songs are classic 50's thru early 1st generation punk songs. After performing "baby Baby" the band left the stage and return to for a two song encore the first song they played was Vince Taylor "Brand New Cadillac" which was made popular by The Clash following this was The Vibrator's classic "Automatic Lover" all and all was a great night for me and if you have a chance to catch The Vibrators do it.

Till next Time Be Safe in the Pit
